Frustrating! Why isn't coach responding? Thoughts? How to proceed?
My guess is the coach thinks your daughter has the ability to play for and knows she has a strong interest their program. The coach is probably churning the waters right now hoping to find stronger players. The coach is probably avoiding her, because the coach isn't ready to give your dd a yes...- Why did I say yes to SB?

Last words of (softball) advice?
With my rising sophomore daughter the big issue is she needs to learn to pace herself and stop injuring herself. Big school programs have specialists pushing the girls to do a lot of training, lifting and running. So my daughter has to try to be the fastest and the strongest, and then comes...- Why did I say yes to SB?

Pre-college workout
My daughter was an incoming college freshman player this year. After high school graduation she was given a very large weight-lifting and running package. USF - Wilson/Demarini Tournament in Tampa a case study of incompent event management.
I had a lot of interest in this tournament and it was painful trying to follow the games on the different streaming sites (one college announcer couldn't keep the players straight). When a college coach asks you if you have any other college offers...
DD is a freshman D1 player. When we visited the different colleges, no coach asked this question directly. One hinted around about it, saying in conversation - you must have a lot of offers - then watched DD reactions like a hawk. I am not a softball insider, but I seriously doubt coaches who...- Why did I say yes to SB?

I know of a D1 commit who had her offer pulled after she started bad mouthing the school (when the football team was getting crushed) on twitter. I also know of a D1 roster player who was drinking in a video and someone emailed it to her coach. And I know a relatively few number of players.- Why did I say yes to SB?

Partial Scholarship. Can it increase?
Fall ball is over and I still don't know if daughter will play a major role with this team. The coach pulled you if you had 2 or 3 at bats without producing. She started on first team, was pulled, then hit her way back to first team. Most underclassmen switched back and forth between first...- Why did I say yes to SB?

Partial Scholarship. Can it increase?
This thread is wandering a little bit. DD is a freshman out-of-state softball player at big state U (D1 top 50 program). Only way to wave out of state tuition is to pick a major not offered in home state. Then that only starts in junior year and closest match is something like diary sciences...- Why did I say yes to SB?

Riseball thanks for responding. Yes the guarantee with possible increase was given only to my daughter during the coach's verbal offer. A couple of years later when it came time to sign the paperwork all that was there was this year's. But the TB coaches who handled my daughter's career said...- Why did I say yes to SB?
