Throw to First
With no runner on first (empty bases), catcher throws to first thinking it was strike three but was only two strikes. Ball goes back to pitcher. Ump calls a ball saying catcher can't throw to first with no one on first. Never heard that rule. Is that right? ASA tournament.- dkame

Mizuno Mitt Selection
Looking to get DD a new mitt. She is 14yo, med/small build, 5'0", 90lb. Hand about 6" palm to finger tip, maybe 6.5" spread. About 100 games/yr. She handles mid-50's pitchers well. Backing up First
Do you see many catchers backing up first? We have the right fielder back first on infield hits on the left side. The catcher could back up hits to 2B with no one on base since that angle makes sense and the RF needs to back up the ball through the infield. I haven't seen any catchers in 12U or...- dkame
