Twice while she was playing first

So helpful. I will tell her all. Thanks much. Now I have something to tell her instead of, "not your fault" or "that base is as much yours as hers." ha. Thank you so much. We'll practice that. Thanks.

Twice while she was playing first

My daughter played/plays a lot of different positions. Plus she's a pitcher. As she gets older we've started asking her where she prefers. She prefers first base. Ok- you like what you like. Ok. This year we only did travel ball- 9 tournaments (no rec). She only played first base twice...

Any Positive Outcome Stories of Pitchers post ACL surgery?

Yes. We have one at our high school. Committed to a big d1. Acl surgery last summer and led our high school to the state semis this year. Full travel schedule this summer - including Colorado and California. Didn't seem to skip a beat as far as anyone can tell. Sent from my iPhone using...

I think we are leaving demarini

Thanks. I was afraid of change- I thought this wasn't going to be such a huge one though. Sounds like we better rethink.

I think we are leaving demarini

My 13u daughter (~5'7" & 145ish?) has always been #3 or #4 in the lineups with some of the most hits (&plenty of extra-base hits) on all of her teams. We think her swing is good. We've been afraid to change anything. It's been many, many years since she's used anything really except a -11...

What to do when your daughter loses interest?

My 2 girls can't be bribed or punished by anything else. I've tried. All they care about is that phone. I failed in that area very badly. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What to do when your daughter loses interest?

If I had it to do over again - I woulda started them out with their cell phones very differently. They would NOT get them all the time. (Like mine do now- the horse is already out of the barn in my house ). They ONLY get them after homework, practices and chores are done every night. Etc...

What to do when your daughter loses interest?

I could've written this exact thing myself. 8th grader. 13u. It's so frustrating. So frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HS team attendance and planned events/appointments

I personally never schedule doctor appointments (unless an extreme emergency) and vacations during the season. I just don't. Or I expect consequences from our coach- which I would understand. Prom is a different matter I believe. But also one I would let her skip softball to do things for...

    No Little League this year

My daughter (a pitcher) is 13 this year. When she was 9, 10 and 11- we did the Little League rec games& a season of allstars (that went on to the state tournaments & usually lasted almost the whole summer). Last year (12)- we played the Little League rec season games, but skipped allstars and...

    Little League rule question

This is for regular season games.

12 year old in senior league

But is it impossible for a 12 year old to play in a senior league, correct? I thought 2 years ago our president submitted a waiver to the district guy for a 12 year old to play up in our senior league.. but searching now it doesn't say anything about a 12 year old being allowed to play in a...

When you have a super star...

I don't think you should. It is who she is. You are not pushing her. Since it's all her- I don't think you should worry. Shower her with extra love and understanding and relaxation and support. Let her do what she loves. And who she is. And who she wants to be. I know it can be a curse to be...

I need someone to yell at me please.

I'm one of "those" parents. Far too high strung for softball. Far too competitive and/or worried about what others may think. For whatever reason- my husband is managing dd's 12u rec team. Grrrrrrrrr. We were undefeated. We've lost 2 in a row. And I've totally lost it. Can't bring myself...

    Demarini -11s

I just don't want to spend $ to test a -10 if i don't know for sure it will work. the 32/21 is free to test to see if she is ok with a 21oz bat instead of a 20. If I come across other free -10 bats that are 21oz or heavier-- then we will def be testing them. i just haven't yet & the 32/21...

    Demarini -11s

Thanks to everyone again. We actually have/own a 32/21 -11 cf5 (don't ask... I actually have an older daughter.. but that's a whole other story). Convincing everyone to try to start to move younger (11u) daughter up to a bigger bat- I suggested that she take her sister's 32/21 to practice...

    Demarini -11s

Thank you both. redhotcoach- would you say the 'super hot then split' phenomenon is specific to only the cf5 series? Or have you seen it with 6 or 7 etc as well? That caught my eye- almost certain that was our experience exactly too. It was the offseason & my husband was just raving and...

    Demarini -11s

I've been agonizing over a decision for awhile now. Some may wish to use the word 'obsessed'- we've even resorted & broke down & bought a Zepp. ;) I'd really appreciate any and all help. DD will be turning 12 in June. 5'4" & maybe around 115ish pounds? This summer- she'll be playing a rec...
