Any DFP'ers have connections and or insight into the East Carolina Softball program. DD (2017) is looking at ECU for their Physical Therapy program and will want to do a college visit their at some point. Not sure she is at the level to play for them, but we will see. We would be coming from NJ so any local knowledge appreciated.

We live in NC, but that we never visited ECU for whatever reason, and not being a long-time resident, I'm not that familiar with ECU's academics except to say that the UNC university system is pretty solid and generally a bargain (at least for in-state students). For softball, they had a new coach last season, and I believe that the previous coach resigned unexpectedly or abruptly close to the start of the season. They were a little down but decent last season. ECU is typically your average mid-major in terms of softball competitiveness. Very solid, but not sure they've won any conferences lately. Unlike many mid-majors, they have a pretty good Division I football team. That adds to the experience, IMO.
