lol Sounds like the umpires were golfers accustomed to playing on a course with a similar local rule...I'll spare you the trouble of trying to figure out how the umpires ruled. They ruled that my dd had to hit again. They did not consult for what the park rule is which we found out was to play it live. Still, no one has ever hit that wire. This was a strange call, imo. I've never hard of a re do or a mulligan.
I was young but I remember when Kingman hit one into the ceiling of the Metrdome that got stuck. Would have come down in the infield and would have a for sure out. They ruled it a ground rule double. Lol Where is the justice?
