Opinions in a lineup at a college showcase. We have six commits and they are still in the top of the line up. Is this normal? Also, one of the commits college coach to watch and our coach left the committed player in my daughter primary position who's uncommitted. Any opinions?

In the other thread you said,

At the request of college coaches to see her at her primary position our coach will not comply. DD graduation year has been long looked at showcases college coaches now are looking at younger graduating years.

So did your coach refuse to play your DD for a college coach at a certain spot or did they leave in a committed player in your DD's spot at the time the commit's college coach was watching? Was it because the college coach wanted to see the commit playing in that spot at that time?

Yes, coach ignored the request to put our daughter at her primary position at the same time the committed player coach was watching. Yes, left a committed player at dd primary at the same time both coaches were there. Yes, a committed player hit in her normal line up position.

Your statement in the other thread implies that a college coach asked your coach to play your DD in her regular spot. You did not answer the question. Who asked your coach to play your DD in her primary position in this instance. You or the college coach?

Agree, if a college coach ask to see an uncommitted player play at a "showcase", they should play her. The committed player, her college coach and parents should understand that's the way it's supposed to work. I would definitely try and find out what was up with them not playing her in that instance.

In order of priority with respect to showcase playing time.

1) Uncommitted player with coach specifically watching them.
2) Committed players with their coach watching them.
3) Uncommitted players who have sent emails to coaches and are "working the system".
4) Committed player still attending showcases for benefit of uncommitted players
5) Uncommitted player not "working the system" hoping to be "discovered".

BTW - This is disseminated to all of my coaches, players and their parents.
