Worth Amp?
don't know anything about the amp, but the price at $60 and under seems about right. not sure it really matters what specific bat an 8 yr old is swinging cuz most haven't refined their swing and don't have much bat speed squeeze incremental benefit from a better bat. i'd say just go with the bat...- tobor

2011 RocketTech vs 2011 CF4 Insane
dbias, my dd has similar bats as your daughter, including the RT, CF4 insane and the stealth speed -9. i have had my DD swing the sticks and i have swung them (presumably with greater bat speed). and the pop results are consistent (at least with the way we swing)... 2011 RocketTech vs 2011 CF4 Insane
had my daughter hit balls off the tee using a rocketech and a CF4 insane. then i measured the exit speeds using my radar gun. the insane had slightly greater exit speed. the insane is also much easier to swing and causes fewer mishits. the insane is unique in that it swings like an end-loaded...- tobor

hal, i think you may have hit the nail on the head. she did struggle a lot with timing when she first switched to the new style - which i think in turn leads to her being slightly off balance and not able to gain her full momentum. i'm not 100% positive, but i think she may be over-striding...- tobor

balance equals power ?
my 11 yr old dd has been pitching for about 2 years. she started off as a step-style pitcher and had very good speed. last year we switched to leap drag and she seemed to have difficulty reaching the same velocity. at the end of this past fall she was throwing about 45mph, which was ok. now...- tobor
