42'sdad, My DD is the Fusion girl in the front row on the right side in your picture. She is from the second post of this thread. She pitched that championship game against your team. If I remember right, you DD had a couple of nice hits off of her. The girls really did bond that weekend.- Slick

How to teach extension after contact
When working with my dd (10) on the tee, I have her stop her swing at contact, then "push" or "extend" towards the area she is wanting the ball to go. After a several times, we go full swing. Simple drill for young ones and an easier concept to grasp.- Slick

DD temper issue
Tough one. I have heard where girls and guys get so wrapped up and competitive with themselves and the game to only display anger or frustration. Maybe to get back to the real reason we play competitive sports we need to go back to the beginning. See if a 8u or 10u team will let her help out...- Slick

Thanks for clearing both comments up Amy and Softballphreak. She has been called out a few times for hitting the umpire with her bat, but hasn't hit a catcher yet. My DD has a ton of fun at her lessons. I enjoy watching them. My daughter works hard and stays focused, but is also very sassy (in a good way). Both her hitting and pitching instructor play on that. It helps her relax and pick things up faster. Softballphreak. Thanks for the feedback. As...- Slick

Finch, 5 mo. pregnant and still bringing it.
