We are relocating to the Orlando area and need to find some softball options for my DD. Any help is appreciated. TIA.

    Turning on Lights

Are the lights allowed to be turned on in the bottom half of an inning in USSSA?

    Rules question for UIC

Is this the rule for all rule sets?

    Catcher positioning

That is all I could find too. He said they had to stay between the batter's boxes.

    Catcher positioning

I recently had an umpire instruct my catcher she was too far over in the catcher's box. We were trying to intentionally walk a batter and she was positioned all the way over in the catcher's box. Is the catcher not allowed to be anywhere within the box? This is USSSA and I looked but I...

    stickers

I have used helmet stickers for years from 10-16U. The girls absolutely love them. As long as you do it right it won't become a joke. You have to know the level of your team and come up with some rules that match that level. When we were 10 we got stickers for alot of basic things. By the...

Has anyone heard of any new NCAA New Rules for 2016?

Is there a rule in ASA, USSSA or NSA regarding artificial noise makers?

Legal position in the batter's box

Thanks guys. I thought that was the rule. The umpire told me it didn't matter unless the girl hit the ball. The girl had at least 3/4 of her foot out of the back of the box. I told him I was concerned about my catcher's safety, but he didn't deem to care too much.

Legal position in the batter's box

Quick question for you umpires out there. Is there a legal requirement for where the batter must be before the pitch can be thrown in USSSA? More specifically do both feet have to be COMPLETELY in the box in order for the batter to be legally in the box before the pitch is thrown?

    Tryouts

With tryouts coming next month, I was wondering if any of you coaches and some "unconventional" ways to get the word out about tryouts. Just looking for some fresh ideas I may be missing.

    Illegal Substitution

That's what I thought. However, the runner was allowed to be put back on 1B. I knew that wasn't right, thanks guys. Now to confuse the situation a little, #7 wasn't even on the lineup card. Now that is an Illegal substitution, correct? And the penalty for that is?

    My First Ejection

Contact is not needed for obstruction.
  14. Q

    Illegal Substitution

USSSA rules... #11 hits reaches first and is pinch ran for by #7. Inning ends. #11 goes back out on defense the next half inning without being reported. First batter up hits a ball to #11 and she fields it and throws the batter out at 1B. What is the penalty, if any?

    Batting out of order?

So, if it was a fair ball would that make a difference?
