School Bell Schedules and High School Games
DD's school doesn't have lights, but it does have two side-by-side softball fields. That allows the varsity and JV games to start at the same time (4 pm). (It also gives the girls more room to practice.) It's going to be strange next fall when DD isn't out there!- MsDinosaur

Yep, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, LOL, I got a National Merit Scholarship, and it all starts with the PSAT. If you don't take the PSAT and get into the "pool" you are out of the running for a National Merit even if you ace the SATs. How is everyone? I sure miss DFP!- MsDinosaur

Sadly, playing softball has come to an end for DD.
The first two concussions were with a Worth helmet. The last two were with the Rawlings Blackout helmet. She was on a Worth-sponsored team, thus the Worth/Rawlings products.- MsDinosaur

When is enough enough?
I kinda like a manager who bats roster at 10U, even on Sundays. IMO, at that age player development is more important than the trophy. On the fastballs away against the batter who was fouling them off; there's not enough info here. How was she fouling them off? Was the batter late on them...- MsDinosaur

Nope, each and every one was a foul tip back to her helmet while she was catching. Not much you can do about foul tips. They happen too fast. She had concussion number 3 last spring and dropped travel after the season ended. We thought HS ball with its much shorter season would be less risky.
