Is there any team in Iowa, planning to play tournaments this summer and needing a solid pitcher? Our daughter is 14U, loves to play, and wants to do tournaments. Thank you all for the great tips. I called our local PT today and he got us in right away. He provides one free consultation for school athletes, no matter what grade! I think you might have wanted to know if she stretches, and sadly, pitching coach hasn't ever pushed that - I think we need to be doing that. And we need to know what stretches to do.- Mama B

She has a 15-20 minute warm up routine with pitching, and she said her warm up drills didn't hurt her arm, just when she started going with full rotation.- Mama B

How much is too much
In the fall in the Midwest - we play ball in temps anywhere from 45 to 80 degrees. My daughter pitched two games, several hours apart the other day, and may be asked to do the same in coming weeks. Are we wrong to allow two games a day for a 12-13-year-old pitcher, who usually faces 3-5 batters...- Mama B

Coaching question

Good or bad?
Someone recently said to me - your daughter is so strong, she should be out for track and throwing the shot put. It will even make her a stronger pitcher. And it made me wonder, is throwing the shot good or bad for a pitcher? I'm curious now.- Mama B

Learned a lesson
My daughter was signed up for two afternoon pitching camp sessions, both yesterday and today. The first day, her pitching went great; and she was on her game totally!
