    It was not called any more in late innings. UCLA didn't protest at all. It is pre-season so they probably don't care for now.

    No Olympics 2028

    We had too few softball teams (only six) in 2020 Tokyo Olympic game. We should have more countries to get involved to promote the sport. It was a missed opportunity for the host. I hope Softball eventually makes 2028 Olympics.

    Japan pitcher Goto Miu

    I watched the game between Japan and Canada. It was a great game. Goto Miu had a stunning performance and she stuck out all six batters that she faced. She throws high 60 and has good change. I think she will be the ace of Japan for many years to come

    I admire her achievement tonight. A perfect game against UCLA with Garcia and strong batting was unthinkable. Her birthday is her lucky day. I wonder whether USA Olympic team still have one opening for her.

    I would second the idea of a Balled up sock. My kid used it. She only broke a light switch with it.

    I just read a similar question in a quiz for umpires. The trailing runner is out if both runners are on the same base according to its answer sheet if it is not In field high fly. Either way, the batter is out.

    I remember that one pitcher (not Ueno) of Japan national team pitched a ball to first base in a recent game against Team USA? So is it really an issue ?
