NCAA Dead Period Extended to July 31st

D1's are not allowed to watch games in person. If you saw coaches there, that is a clear NCAA violation. What is a dead period? During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete...

Any info on NCAA dead period extension

The decision will be made tomorrow 5/13. http://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/di-council-coordination-committee-approves-blanket-waiver-requests The group also committed to make a final decision on an extension of the recruiting dead period through June 30 at the group’s May...

    Ringor cleats?

I will second this opinion. We had the same experience, a couple of pairs of Ringors that my DD destroyed pretty fast. I agree customer service was great, but they just didn't last as long as I hoped. I will also second the recommendation for New Balance, the spikes appear larger (to me) than...

    New 2020 Pitching Rules

This is true for USA/NFHS, but my understanding is that PGF is going to change their 2020 rules to be in line with NCAA, and no longer with NFHS. (Even when they followed NFHS rules, they did not allow a step back)

    Yes!

    New 2020 Pitching Rules

This is my understanding from NFCA announcements and research: NCAA - Start Back PGF - Start Back TCS - Start Back USSSA - Start Back NFHS - Step Back USA - Step Back

    NCAA Pitching Rule Changes

At NFCA it was announced that PGF, USA and USSSA will allow pitchers to have their back foot OFF the pitchers’ plate in 2020. PGF will use NCAA 2020 rules which permit starting with rear foot behind the rubber but do not allow the pitcher to step back. USA will use high school rules which...

A new spin tool I created

No, I am not associated with Bownet, but yes, I am aware of it. I have reason to believe that the guy who brought it to bownet, who has deep connections to China, stole the idea in the design phase a while ago ( I have been working on this for over 2 years). I experimented with various...

    How do you hit spots?

This, to me, is the correct answer. Another thing I like to do, is occasionally do location practice with a variety of ball sizes and weights to really force the focus. Slightly underweight, slightly overweight, 11" ball, 14", 10", baseball, etc. A bucket full of them, 1 pitch each. I find...

A new spin tool I created

I am glad you found a system and 1 tool that works for every pitcher...that hasn't been my experience. IMO, a variety of drills and practices accelerates the learning because it tricks the brain into paying attention. It might not be right for you, but a tool like the Spinform, like several...

    NCAA Pitching Rule Changes

This was called at a PGF game I was recently at, and they called the UIC to ask if the rule had changed yet. The UIC said they haven't changed the rule yet, only because they haven't removed the exception listed above by TMIB from all their literature, but plan to as soon as they can get that...

A new spin tool I created

I send them USPS First Class with tracking, which usually means 2-4 days from order to delivery, depending on location.

A new spin tool I created

Yes, it is 12”, there is no 11” version yet, although I’d like to make one eventually. But, I have found that using a slightly larger ball for drills and spins makes it feel easier to manipulate the smaller ball when you go back to it. This is the same concept as an older pitcher doing drills...
