Two of our girls, my daughter Alex and Maddi, have played on I-Club as fill ins and they played in the Fall I-Club farm league in Adel. We have become disillusioned with Mary Thompson and her program. She seemed to have the right intentions when she started I-Club but it seems as though it became all about making money for her. Everything we did with her cost money, money, and more money. One of the former I-Club coaches has started his own thing and we are looking at doing something at his facility. Also, Mary has taken a coaching job at Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls so I don't know how much energy she will have to put toward the I-Club program.

    Hi EJL,

I am not ure if we will have a team in Moline. The PFX tour looks certainly like a lot of fun

I am wishing you guys a great time over there

Is any of your players doing the Fall league with the I-club? We will be sending some athletes in Des Moines during the month of September.

    Have a great time,

    Hi EJL,

Thanks for the posts about walking to 2nd. Around our parts (Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities) it is used quite often at the 10U level and defending against it in some way helps focus the kids and they are capable of defending by the time they are in 12U.

I think it all depends on the number of teams that try the play. If you are the only one around then it becomes an anomaly.

    Have a great day,
    Poseidon
