What you are going through now, is what I kind of see happening. Taking away from the fielding/hitting is my major concern. Thanks Sparky...I think the hit batters are what bother me the most...2-3 in 1-2 innings almost every game. She's only pitched half a dozen games...but that's where the struggle begins (for me and her). The first one she shrugs off, the second one she'll start to slow down and steer/step, and...- DD's#1Fan

I've tried the whole comparing thing..it doesn't work. The question is who do you compare to? Amanda with ball at 12 at toetouch or Ueno with ball more toward 9 at toetouch...then there's still Finch, Luna, etc. Some swim, some don't...obviously trying to emulate these elite pitchers is not...- DD's#1Fan

So here's what I've noticed since we started putting all our efforts into pitching. Her overhand motion has changed, not sure if this is due to the I/R hand motion of pitching, but now she tends to miss right and left from SS position to 1st. Am I crazy? Absolutely Is She willing to take instruction? She has lessons every week for almost a year and a half Can you get her to practice? I can do better than that. I took $100k and opened an indoor facility because I thought she had potential, She plays both league and travel. Then...- DD's#1Fan

Not sure I'm following you here Sparky. She leans forward to load, then after the stride when the ball reaches 12 o'clock, she's centered, never leaning forward after that. Her front foot is maybe 60 degrees at most and probably 1-2" off the line. Should she not lean forward to load before...- DD's#1Fan

what causes over throws
I once overheard someone saying that if the ball is pointing toward the target when the throwing arm goes up, it will sail high. Should point the ball to the side (same direction as belly button is pointing) or backwards.. but please correct me if this is incorrect.- DD's#1Fan

Does she have potential????
My DD is 9 years old. First year pitching in LL. She's only pitched and inning or two in each game for five games now. Been really working on the I/R thing...not sure how fast the pitch needs to be to have movement, but more times than not her ball will move 2-6" to from her left to right...- DD's#1Fan
