If she is dipping her chin my guess is she is dipping her shoulder as well, my DD's PC corrected this problem by having her do arm swings (pitching motion) as fast as she can while standing next to a wall or fence. It took about a week and it corrected the problem!
I completely agree, every step taken on the field is watched and players are moved around when necessary. I don't disagree with that philosophy; but she rarely gets to pitch in games, or to batters for that matter. I think I will have to brave it out and start standing as batter during her...

In my experience teams usually hold 2 tryouts, the first is more of an all skills tryout (including hitting) and the second is position specific. Only the players that are invited back tryout for specific positions.
