Bata or Jugs
I have the BATAII baseball/softball machine and I would pop for the extra bucks and get it over the JUGS. Have extensive experience with both, the BATA is more consistent in it's speed, it's a 2 wheel machine with solid rubber wheels, not tires, you can adjust it to throw drops, rises, curves...- bobbleheadbill

Slapping Help
I would suggest putting her in a position in which she has already crossed over, ball on a tee slightly in front of her front hip. Have it, and I would agree that it has it's most value when measuring spin speed, not as accurate as a radar gun for speed. Mine seems to register higher than a radar gun, most say that it registers a little low. Great aid for measuring spin progression for movement pitches.- bobbleheadbill

MVLA - had a buddy of mine get his car set to 40 and 50 MPH on crusie control and gunned him as he drove past. Within .3 to .5 MPH every time. You might also try standing out in front of her and slightly to HER left (if she is a rightie) and put a boxer's or MMA target glove on your outstretched hand. Interesting. I have been experiencing a dramatic DROP in speed with the radar gun reading as opposed to the rev-fire. And I mean anywhere from 3-6 MPH. RVP or Dartfish
I have the Dartfish software and it is excellent. Pretty easy to use, and there are some hitting and pitching companion DVD's with excellent reference models.
