Before game, between game, during game and after game nutrition.
My DD always fueled up with Cliff Bars between games.. especially when you only have 15 minutes and have to move your stuff to another field.. They taste good and give you a decent energy boost.. they are portable and don't need refrigeration.. A lot better than the crap they sell at most...- 58sdad

Leaping doesn't really bother me too much as it doesn't create much of an advantage.. Interesting play I just saw in the Sox Giants game

this is SOOOO true.. i think the fact that she is tired of looking, coupled with the disappointment when a team you thought was going to be 'the one' turns out to be another major disappointment, had more to do with her decision than anything... I'd have a sitdown with the HC.. gently remind them that when those things happen, it's NOT THE GIRLS FAULT.. The root cause for these bad innings is a lack or preparation which falls solely on the HC and the ACs, not the DD's. I had a run in with a HC and another AC when they would always...- 58sdad

from the ASA rulebook.. "Both feet must remain in contact with the pitching plate at all times prior to the forward step." you can generate a lot more leg drive with a foot behind the rubber than you can with both feet touching.. it's like starting a sprint race, do you get more drive with one...- 58sdad

yeah i read that thread .. it was kind of funny.. comparing it to a rocket ship like a softball has an engine or something.. lol.. lol.. since it's been asked, I do it the old fashioned way.. with math.. Radar will only measure the speed at a point in time.. there is a vast difference between when it leaves her hand and when it crosses the plate. The only way to get the average velocity is to measure the time from release...- 58sdad

really? I see it a lot.. pitchers not starting with both feet on the rubber.. some are pretty adept at digging out a hole behind the rubber so the home plate ump cant see the foot at all. as the game goes on and the pitcher tires she can start cheating back and keep her velocity up.- 58sdad

lol.. no but I got her pretty mad.. She certainly couldn't throw that consistently for more than one or two pitches.. big difference between just fooling around in practice and what you do on the mound in a game.. to say that she is a 60mph pitcher at this point is ludicrous.. but she at least...- 58sdad
