Over the years, more people have heard about dynamic warm-ups and how important they are. As a result, I've been asked more and more about them and how to perform them. (...)

Marc,
I have been reading your information as well as lots of other that is available on the Internet. I believe that Dyamic warm-ups belong in a conditioning program. My one last question is about age. At what age for females will Dynamic stretching and warm-ups truly benefit them. Most of your writings discuss college and international level athletes. In my case I coach a 14U team with girls that range from 12 to 14 years of age. How beneficial would Dynamic warm-ups be for girls this age? And, also if it is only done twice a week during our practices how much benefit would it be? I am trying to convince some 'old schoolers'. |

Sorry for the delay in answering. Been totally overloaded for 2-3 weeks.
To answer your questions: At what age for females will Dynamic stretching and warm-ups truly benefit them? All ages - no exception. Little kid to elite to "old-timers" ![]() And, also if it is only done twice a week during our practices how much benefit would it be? It's not a workout (even if it looks or feel like it at first), it's a way to prepare the body to perform. In others words, you do it EVERY TIME before you play, practice or wokout. Check my blog for more arguments: Dynamic Warm-ups for Softball or you can read the info about the products, that gives you ALL of the arguments for it: Dynamic Warm-Up for Softball System Cheers, Marc
