Any more updates on the CF9 performance and durability? My DD was a long time CFx user then last season we switched to the Xeno Plus. She hit about the same with both bats but said she likes the Xeno but like the feel of the DeMarini better. Was looking to get her a CF9 but looking for more feedback before I buy.

As for the CF9, any differences between the -10 balanced and -10 insane?

Insane is end-loaded. If she prefers the balanced CF over the Xeno (which has a slight end load), she will likely not care for the Insane.

On the Demarini website they mention something about need very good bat speed to generate more pop. What is considered very good bat speed in terms of mph? My DD is currently swinging Xeno but was thinking about going back to Demarini, as she was using them since her first gray and black CF4. Was thinking about trying out the insane model since she is older and stronger.

Update with my daughter. She has been swinging hers a while and now seems to like it. Think it just took some time to get it broken in and forget about her CF8. She has put some over in practice and hit some hard ones in games. Seems to be getting hotter the more she uses it.

No hand sting from my daughter's CF9 and hit two beautiful doubles today to deep CF. Maybe CF stands for "center field" :), at least today!

That is good to hear. How old and big is she? The CF series to be the most popular among younger players. We played a team today in an affluent suburb of a major city. The team had several kids of former pro athletes. Everyone of them had a brand new CF9. Those bats didn't get a W for them, but a couple of them got some good hits.

14, 5'3" fit, late bloomer - 32" balanced. Had been using CF7 31". Saw a difference when she got it and her mechanics are good. She had two other hard hit ground balls that day and a caught fly ball to LF that she got under.

DD has hit a couple homers with her cf9 hope, but is currently using her cf6 sprite. In sbs comparisons, the cf6 gets an extra 20-30 feet consistently

That is interesting. Perhaps it is because the CF6 is well broken in? It seems like there are not a lot of positive reviews on the CF9. I believe it is very similar to the CF8 and it seems to be well received.
