Question No shoes in team pictures?

OK, random question: Does anyone know if there's a reason why teams often pose without their shoes on for team pictures?

    Here are some examples...

Been noticing this. Personally, I'm not crazy about it; I think it looks a little informal.

Is there some kind of tradition behind it? It seems to be a softball-specific quirk.

My guess would be because they don't have cleats/sneakers that match (each other) or are clean?

I was on the indoor train, then I saw the Lincoln team. Of course we could also blame the fact that they are DD's!

I think it looks a little informal.
And nothing says "formal" like a coach in sweat pants and a T-shirt.

Must be because of the photos have been taken indoors.

Perhaps the daddies are carrying their bags and their shoes are still in them?

I hate seeing a parent carrying a girl's bag, (unless they are injured)
