Lamar v TX Southern

Looks like a cold game! It's 30 degrees Fahrenheit a hundred miles north of there.

Watching the mental side of this game is a battle in and of itself due to the cold. Puts the northern states softball games in perspective for a southern man.

It's like I've always said - you can't stop Lamar. You can only hope to contain them.

boo hoo!!! Getting to see the northern teams playing in 97 degree 90% humidity in early June is no different. Build an indoor field, move south, join the drama club but can everyone quit crying about the weather!!! On the west coast they have rain, south gets hot, central has tornadoes, north gets cold. All regions have their own issues to deal with that they believe only they can handle.

I believe this is Lamar's 3rd year back in softball. I would think they will be along the same line as UNT, not sure they will get the level of Houston.

Anyone else think Texas looked very far from top 25 in these games? I saw weak pitching, poor fielding and average hitting. Surprising considering the amount of in state talent.

It surprised me as well. Even though it was miserably cold out for them, I expected a better showing.
