Umpire was intentionally hit by pitcher

At the Jewel in San Diego
So my daughter played this softball team from the high desert. Team name is Inferno.

Because this team didn't agree with a call from the umpire in a previous inning they deliberately hit the umpire on a fastball pitch Catcher moved out of the way when the pitcher pitched the ball .

Very sick for a coach to tell his 12 year old girls to do that ! I wish I had the video too!

And the pitcher, catcher and coach should have all been immediately ejected.

If you can tell it is intentional you are doing it wrong. Not condoning, just an observation.

IDK if DD would flat out say no or not, worse case I think she would throw it over the umps head. It is her favorite pitch anyways. (We remove the don’t throw balls against the fence signs when she pitches)

Ump knew where the problem was.

If I was this ump I would take this through legal channels to see if their coach told them to.

Umpire gets hit like in the above video, and I hope that the pitcher, catcher, and coach are all ejected and banned from ever playing again in that park.

The football official that got decked needs to seek his reckoning in criminal and civil court. Those a-holes need to see the inside of a jail cell, and along with the coach, never see another football field. That official should also sue the crap out of that district, the player's families, and any coaches found to be involved.

Someone may know more than I do, but I don't believe anything substantial ever came out of this incident

The BS report so far is the 'school district is investigating what led to this incident' which is a typical, gutless statement we see way too often. Whatever horrible call or bad rule interpretation or whatever this official did is absolutely irrelevant compared to the intentional, blind-side physical assault that was executed in this video. Nothing an official does on the field justifies this attack.

A real school district would have said "We are investigating what happened so we can levy the appropriate penalties and we have referred the matter to the local police"
