I'm looking at changing organizations.

There are several reasons why but the main one being is that our showcase teams are really no longer meant for girls within the organization. The intent of starting these showcase teams 4 years ago was to give the better players a place to move up to.

There are 4 organizations that I have in mind. 3 of them already have reached out to me to move my whole team.

What should I be asking\looking for, etc. This is NOT "is the grass greener" scenario...it's more of wanting to keep some "ceiling space" for my girls...

I have plenty of things to ask, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

TIA

Here's a few

Are evening coaches-parents meetings forbidden, voluntary, or mandatory?
How are uniform numbers determined?
Do you have a pole barn?
How many miles are on the team bus?
What are the orgs target numbers for 10U and 12U verbals?

I would assume you've already thought of success with recruiting.

Probably also fees, facilities, and autonomy your team would have in the org.

GM...

Of the 3 teams that reached out to me...

I'm my team's "CEO..."meetings with my parents are at my discretion. One of the organizations stated they want want meeting minutes when these meetings happen.

I'd move my whole team...uniform #'s are all set...after that...we play Yahtzee to determine numbers! LOL

Yes on facilities (better than what I have now)...

The 10U situation in my current org is another HUGE consideration but very much tangent to this decision...

The org's I'm looking to move to are very strong at 10/12U. While DD1 was looking for a new team this past tryout season at 16U, 2 of these tryouts happen to coincide with their 12U tryouts...talent turnout was much better than mine...

No team bus...3 ford expeditions and a Yukon Xl work just fine :)

Seems like you've thought this through pretty well already, but if you want to take it to the next level then here are some things to inquire about:
Is Ray Ray's private jet available at reduced cost for coach vacation travel?
Does the org have a budget line for between game snack/meal catering?
Is the org OK making parents divulge their IP addresses in order to determine how many troll DFP anonymously?

Jet is available
Cavier is listed on the snack list
I'm a computer geek by day...I can phish for your IP address if I need to...anonymous is just a fancy word that makes you feel safe mwahhaaaa

Do you know what showcases you would like to attend? I know many are open to virtually any team, but some limit themselves to a specific number of teams. Many of those spots are reserved for teams that have played in the showcase before. If a team decides not to come back, the showcase will move on to their waiting list. If there are specific showcases you have in mind, you may want to check what type of clout each org has with that particular showcase, or if they have ever participated.

Excellent point. I'll add this to my list of questions.

I'm still too young for showcases but this is something I'm going to start investigating this season.

I think autonomy is the biggest thing. We have been around since 1982 and let coaches run their team as they see fit so long as they uphold the ideals and traditions of the organization. No micromanaging or requiring attendance in specific tournaments.
