If you consider the cost of 10+ of today's gear bags that it would take to match the life of those durable old duffel bags, they'd get a lot more love.

Heck, I just bought an army surplus duffel to replace the torn carry case for my pop-up. The legs stick out but I can carry it like a back pack since it's the newer style with two shoulder straps and has plenty of larger outside pockets for extra gear.

that was my thought as well. I just dont see the newer nicer getting the lifespan to justify the convenience. If I could buy something nicer, like a tanner tee vs a wilson crapper, and know it was gonna LAST... I would propose it... But these will be 2 years, max. I just wanted to see if anyone had a genius alternative to sea bags.

I bought one of these 2 years ago. For the price it has lasted longer than I thought it would and is still in relatively good shape. It holds up to 6-8 bats and is large enough to carry just about everything I need except a few smaller things which I stuff in the outside pockets of the army surplus bag I bought for the pop-up. This is on sale right now since it's the 2014 model for $45. Amazon.com : Louisville Slugger EB 2014 Series 5 Ton Baseball Bag, Black : Baseball Equipment Bags : Sports & Outdoors Plus it's easy to drag since it's a wide base with wheels.

Bags designed for Ice Hockey are awesome for coaches bags - that is an equipment heavy sport even for non-goalies. You could live in most Hockey Goalie's gear bags.

Hockey Monkey normally has something on sale. Check here: Clearance Equipment Bags

HA! I know. Rollers would be really nice, and as long as they last a few years not ridiculous. Might also help with getting more women coaches... something we have really pushed.
