Not to pick on you OILF, but what is the logic behind putting the starters back in? If the subs brought you from a deficit to with striking distance of a win why would you put the starters (that let it get to 12-0) back in?

We're down 10-0. They have bases loaded with no outs. I honestly don't care how we got in this predicament and neither should you. The only thing I care about is the final score and we've got plenty of time to work on that. I suggest we get three outs as quickly as we can with minimal damage. Then we'll start working on the scoreboard.

I'd make them laugh. Get them to forget yesterday. The time to focus on what went wrong and how to prevent it is NOT before this game, it is at the next practice. Loosen them up. Take the pressure off somehow.
Focus on what I tell them every game:
Win the next pitch.
You can't score 10 in one pitch. You can't get 3 outs in one pitch. You simply win the next pitch. It all starts from there.

Lou Holtz was getting beat 40 – 0 at half time it was a very cold rainy miserable day. When the team came out for the second half they about broke the door down getting on the field.
Holtz was asked what motivation speech he gave to get the team to fired them up for the second half he said, “I just told them the last 11 on the field was starting the second half.”

I've always believed you never really lose if you've learned something from the experience. I'd asked them if they learned anything, what they can improve on, etc, and then ask them to take that with them into the next game, not the game itself.
