Practice time per week?

What is your game schedule? TB or Rec.?
For teams, or players practicing on their own?
Middle school teams practice 5x/week here. Might take an occasional Friday off. They go about 90 minutes. A month before the first game is a lot. I think 4x/week preseason ought to do it.
If school is in session we had late buses running Monday – Thursday so the coaches tried to stick to that schedule, with an occasional Friday practice. With a month to prepare 4x a week will be plenty. It was either a game or practice Monday – Thursday. They had room to practice inside so no breaks for weather either.
If school was not in session they did Monday – Friday but we only had about a week before the first game otherwise they would have probably done Monday – Thursday unless they were annoyed about something then a Friday practice too.
(Practice revolved around the bus schedule)
