I am new to all of this and the "coach" quit so I'm on my own! I got on here and asked for help in the right direction and went to the local community college softball coach too. The college team is going to come out and help run drills with the girls after a few practices. I'm so thrilled that they are willing to help out! It should be fun for everyone!
Tomorrow is supposed to be our first practice but the forecast says Rain rain rain! That's what we get for living on the WA coast! LOL Even though tomorrow is canceled I'm excited for Wednesday. I have been snooping around on here and taking different tips, tricks, and ideas and applying it to what (I hope)might work for this team and I.
But back to the title question... a conversation with the college coach about 8U drills got me thinking to ask here...
What is your favorite drill to run with the 8U age range?
He mentioned using fake spiders and snakes for the girls to throw at to practice their aim... Which I am totally doing! I printed out pictures to tape to water bottles (with rocks not water) for them to throw at.
