Best advice I can give is to be a solid leader and example. Drill fundamentals fundamentals fundamentals. Set clear concise attainable goals and be patient.

Thank you all for the replies. Some very good suggestions and perspectives. I love the fundamentals competition outlined by Little Angels! And sluggers probably had the best point. I may mentally have the team slighted from the start which I can not do.
