What video recording equipment, phone apps, etc are people using to record, edit, break down videos?

I take video with my iPhone 6 and then edit it, slow it down, in iMovie. It works ok, but seems a little blurry sometimes when you slow it down all the way. Only way I have found to get the video on my computer is to do the editing on my phone then upload to my computer, where all I can do is watch it. I would like to be able to take a video with my phone, upload to the comp and edit, slow down, etc from there.

The iPhone 6 should be able to shoot in slo-mo now? If not, you can use the SloPro app - it does a good job simulating 60fps with almost no blur, plus you can have it convert to 1000fps - lots of blur there, but kinda neat. I find that the 60fps rate is good for viewing pitching and hitting, and then I use iMovie to edit without having it adjust playback speed.

I also have a GoPro Hero2 and Hero4 Silver - those shoot excellent slo-mo.

Ubersense is pretty good too. Made for coaching and has tools for highlightibg specifics.
You can also voice record messages into the video when reviewing. I use the free version but they have a premium version as well.

We are Windows users, but highly recommend Adobe Premier software (which works well in both Windows and Mac). Pro if you can afford it, or Elements to save some bucks. There is so much you can do with this software. I especially like to do Slow-Mo, and add a time freeze to stop the action. Good stuff

But if you want to stick with an all phone environment, I like Ubersense for iProducts and Coaches Eye for Android.

I currently have an iphone 5 that has a crappy battery issue. I'm torn between upgrading to iphone 6 or one of the Samsungs. Softball use would be important...
What do people recomend?

On my iphone now, I have ubersense and coaches eye, and have used both. But I think the cameras are better on the new phones...right?

My kids have the 5c. My wife and I have the 6. The cameras are better. You can take pictures faster, they are a little better and I think may not be as big in file size. The camera on the 6 plus is even better because it comes with the stabilization. Plus with iPhones you can use Gamechanger. Since I am new to the iPhone I am still figuring out how to work everything.
