We often call for fake bunts in various situations to see how the defense reacts. One play we have used numerous times this year is bunting with a runner on first and having that runner go directly to third without stopping. You would be surprised how many teams have the corners crash the bunt but then leave third base unprotected.

I quite like this option, as I believe the odds are good, given the left fielder is hustling in or the pitcher or third-baseman are getting back after the other goes for fielding the bunt. Odds of making it are fair.

This is a delayed steal and you are right, a savy team will not allow you to do it. They will throw down to third to cut it off, and rarely will they get baited into it. It might work at the end of a long day where kids are tired and not that sharp. The key is to keep the kid on second at a relatively safe lead and the girl on first half way in the baseline so she'll get the attention of the catcher. As soon as the catcher throws to first, the kid on second has to break to third. You have to tell the kid on first not to go when the catcher throws the ball back to the pitcher or she will get the girl on third thrown out cold.
