    First Base Mitt?

Does anyone have a reccomendation for a first base mitt for fastpitch?
    Varsity / A ball level.
There are so few at sporting goods stores and none for fastpitch.

In order to buy from online, I would like to hear any thoughts from your experiences.

    Thanks,
    Bud

I've bought online from places with free return shipping and not had any trouble when I needed to send one back because it didn't fit right.

batglovewarehouse was who I used last.

I use an older SSK that is fabulous. As a backup, I carry a Worth Liberty. It is a very nice glove.

justballgloves.com is a good site. They've got good customer service, and are very understanding about things if you don't like a glove and will allow you to return it and try another one. They're local to me, and I know when we bought my dd's catcher's mitt, she had about a dozen mitts sprawled all over the place trying them on for about an hour. They were great to deal with. As far as gloves go, Nokona and Akadema are good stuff.

My daughter uses the Akadema ANF-71 Fast Pitch Series 12.5 around $75. As a high school coach, I would recommend this mitt.

Created to satisfy the needs of the competitive fastpitch player, the Akadema FastPitch Design Series is hand-crafted to increase the level of play on the field. Constructed of US Steerhide throughout the pocket and webbing, the back of the glove features exclusive AkademaLyte leather, decreasing the overall weight of the glove and allowing for a faster break-in period and a more manageable feel. Smaller finger stalls are used to decrease the distance between the thumb and index finger and Akadema Grasp Clasp Wrist System allow for increased playability. Endorsed by USA stars Julie Smith and Crystl Bustos - from Akadema website

My daughter really liked the smaller finger stalls.
