Can I ask why all the examples of coaches are always male? Uncle, ole boy, guys, etc. Really. Women can't even get a job or recognition in their own sport...

As far as the school with that contract, I will never see them play nor give them any props. The results are not worth the unethical means. It is my understanding that some letters have been sent to the school district. Funny it is antibullying week.....

OILF,
First of all, I appreciate the fact you wouldn't support us. In the little time I have spent here, I have come to learn one thing. You are part of the problem and not the solution. Your ignorance about the sport is so off base that it makes me wonder what kind of candy a-- wonderland you come from.
Others on here have been critical and had good points. But when you talk about this being a sport that doesn't require conditioning, I really wonder if we are talking about the same sport. We try to play at a highly competitive level. We condition, lift weights and train the entire school. Over 100 kids tryout. 25 make the JV and Varsity program. We play 50-60 games a year and 5-6 games in a day sometimes.
If you aren't willing to make a commitment to your team and your program, you probably aren't the kind of person we want in our organization to begin with!
This is not a recreation sport for our school. We do not approach it as a means of exercise. We teach concepts like team work and team before self. There has to be a leader in every successful organization. Kids need direction and discipline. This is what we teach.
