Mine do, but not often. Bunting practice, for sure. It gives my pitchers and hitters an equal workout. I will often pay an older girl to come throw to my team. I find if my own kids pitch their team mates, they never seem to be throwing like they do in a game.

trying it this year. go thru pract of fielding then BP coach behind screen working on technique. then pitchers pitching to team with coach behind pitcher calling balls/strikes. One coach talking to batter about count and what to expect etc. ohter coach talking to pitcher about count and depending on sitiuation and batter where to miss/throw/what do we want to accomplish etc.

I can see the benefit in it, but it has always slowed practices down for me. I think it works best if you have multiple pitchers with good control and different speeds (so the batters see different types of pitchers)...something I haven't had the luxury of having very often. I'd rather work the positions separately and focus on reps and/or specific tweeks, than slow the practice down. If I do it at all this year, it will be on a very limited basis, late in the practice.

Live pitching is great in practice if it's needed. Indications it is needed:

Girls are inexperienced and afraid of live pitching.
Girls are decent hitters in BP but can't produce in games.

Of course the pitcher has to have good control to do this. Hitting a girl that is already scared isn't going to help her.

We have our pitchers pitch when we are working on game situations. We are lucky enough to have 4 pitchers, so we don't let any of the pitch to more than maybe 10 batters. If we are having the girls take BP in the cage we use the pitching machine or one of us coaches will do it.

We have our pitchers throw for bunting practice as well. We only have two pitchers so I don't really want them throwing BP but I do want them to throw while there is a live batter in the box. I also want our hitters to see live pitching from someone besides me, so bunting works out well. We have tried having our pitchers pitch and hitters hit but the pitchers always say they don't know what they are supposed to do. Are they trying to get them out or are they trying let them hit it? Even after I say they should try to get them out they still don't throw many nasty pitches.

Batting Practice no - we have enough equipment (T's, machines, light weight balls and heavy weight balls) for swinging bats.
Game Scenario practice - yes - we have the field lined up like a game, batters on deck, runners on base (if they get there) and base coaches. We call strikes and go a little risky on base running and infield play. Now our pitchers pitch 3 batters and change. Usually our catchers will go every other switch so they catch with our 2 pitchers. Usually after each hit, steal, etc...we describe what we could or not done to during this play.

Our practices usually are 2 hrs - with first hour warming up, stretching, agility and drills, second hour may be game scenario and some more specific position skill drills.

Absolutely critical to have your batters face live pitching in practice but make sure the pitchers are trying to get the batter out not just throwing meatballs to the batters. IMO, order of importance is

Live pitching
Front toss
Tee work
Pitching machine
Side toss
Dry swings
