Tell her not to think of it as cleaning up! Think of it as game experience in multiple positions. Every HS and TB coach that has "ties" to D1 teams I know, in my area, say that versatile players will get more looks than a locked in player. A player that can only play one position has a much smaller chance of continuing to play.

Good Luck and yes everyone will go through Daddy ball... At least you have been smart enough to recognize it.....

My dd started as a SS and Pitcher. Then, she became a pitcher and OF. Then, in HS, she was a SS and Pitcher. Then, her sophomore year she was a pitcher and OF. Then, junior year she was a pitcher and 1st baseman. Senior year she was the centerfielder and was recruited for college as an outfielder. So, in college they are on the bus to go to their first tournament to start her freshman year of college. She was told on the bus that she was no longer a starting outfielder, she was starting at firstbase.

Right now, she could start as an OF, 1st base, either corner and still pitch and would play well. The reason for that is that she never allowed herself to care where the coach put her. She looked at every change in position with a positive attitude to enable her to develop as a player.
    Very valid points. Thank you.

The bat was on every game yesterday. All hits except for on line drive the pitcher made a great play on in the first four games. Pitcher had her number in the last.

I keep telling her the focus now is being the best left fielder possible. The HS she is going to is tough, so OF is going to be her best chance to see the field earlier anyway. Personally, I think she has more potential out there anyway, but she has to learn how to play it properly instead of OJT.
