Watched a head to head collision in a game today. One girl went into convulsions while unconscious. Both girls at full speed sprints. Both taken away by ambulance. The girl that was convulsing regained consciousness and while she was being carted off I overheard her ask her mom if she caught the ball.

That's terrifying. Do you know if they were both OK?
Not sure how they both faired. Apparently the girl that went into convulsions had never had a seizure before but the girl who ran into her has a history of seizures. The collision was the top of one girls head into the front cheek bone just under the eye of the other girl. Hope they are both ok. Not even sure the names of the team. 12U

We had this happen yesterday too. 2nd base and shortstop collided. Both down like a sack of potatoes. 2nd baseman got up and limped off. SS has a history of two previous concussions and was almost certainly concussed (slurred speech, dilated eyes). Paramedics came.

In addition, I want to put in a plug for the Evoshield Elbow guards. These same two players have been hit in the elbow by a pitch; one with it, one without. Saved one from a broken arm; the other, not so much.

Cubs ran into each other, not sure why it happens so much.
When both fielders are flying to catch ball stuff happens, cubs they were camapped out under ball and still ran into each other.

Yes. Our SS was out the rest of the day and then we lost the 2nd baseman after she got hit in the elbow. That's in addition to the starting shortstop who's been out with a broken wrist all fall and a sick pitcher. And we were runners-up! Girls are troopers!
Hope both girls are ok. Scary for sure.
We had a scary moments this summer. DD had to miss an entire year for spinal fusion surgery. She was playing center field in a tourney back in July that had the temp fences in the outfield and while tracking a long fly ball she went over the fence head over heels at full speed. Totally did the scorpion. She got up and had to be taken out of the game. She was in pain from the fall, but I think scared her worse than anything. After she calmed down a bit and stopped crying, she was pissed on the bench....."I freaking had that ball."
