Not really a fan of either team, but yeah, that was a great game. Seemed Cubs manager was trying all he could do to lose that game. He yanked the starter way too fast, and used two pitches in relief that were clearly over worked and had nothing.

Side note: Cubs finally break their curse. Just hoping my Blues can do the same this year. LETS GO BLUES!!!!!!

Both defenses made some mistakes, I wonder if it just nerves.

Couple games ago cub's 1st and C ran into each other a couple times.

Go Cubs go.

Definitely a fun game to watch. Observations:

1) Nerves were painfully obvious this game...especially for the Cubs young middle infielders.

2) Watching Ross catch was kind of painful but he made up for it following up with his HR. Bittersweet game for him...what a way to go out.

3) Heyward - he got smack talked a lot but people don't give him credit as a leader and teammate

4) was shaking my head about putting Chapman in. Sure he throws some major fire but come on - didnt he close at least 4 or 5 of the 7 games? Doesn't that give the Indians more insights to his pitching? Shrug. Lester could have pulled one more out.

5) That bunt on 3rd strike on two outs? Come on!! Baez (and Maddon) blew that one...and to be fair, it was the last game of the World Series - would have had to have nerves of steel to successfully pull that off.

6) Loved the camera focus on Rizzo talking to Ross and saying "I'm an emotional wreck!" and then went in to hit an RBI double. :)

And obviously I was rooting for cubs because my observations were all about the Cubs! LOL!

Enjoyed watching the series, but have to admit that I really did not care who won, so I did not stay up for the final out.

One thing that caught my attention was listening to the announcers talk about pitch selection. It made me chuckle hearing John Smoltz talking about fastballs and cutters, when most TB coaches refuse to call fastballs...they think a fastball becomes ineffective past 14U.

Different topic but not big Chapman fan, I think he has a flat fastball.

Fastball needs to have some movement, call it whatever you want. If it is flat it is going to be hit hard.
