DS is having his buddies over for his birthday party tonight, so I'm chilling by the bon fire with a cold one and grilling hot dogs and hamburgers. Tomorrow he has a soccer game and Sunday DD has ball practice. I would like to get a little bow hunting in if I can sneak away for a morning.

Relaxing weekend. DD has her BFF's birthday party tomorrow night and then practice Sunday morning. She will be applying for her top two schools Sunday night. That's about it.

We're at PGF Surf City, 1-1 today, now 4 hours of camp after 4 hours of sleep and a cluster flying in. I'm walking dead, girls are, "kinda tired, but ok." Nice to be young. 😃

Oh and WM well done! This young woman is amazing, and the video shows her power. Will be sharing this with the team.

We just did our DD very homemade video, but figured it's good enough for now.

Right Here For Now
I'm beyond a little irritated right now. My team is playing in a tourney this weekend and our first pool game was tonight. 16U and 18U were combined this year and it became an NSA tournament. Now, I know in various parts of the country, different ABC organizations rule and others drool. In NE Ohio, USSSA is about rec level competition-wise and NSA is an extremely small step above as far as the umpiring goes although you can occasionally find decent competition. I wish I had known they switched to NSA before I spent the money on this one. I should have done my research I guess :(

Here USSSA is one of the best right now. The higher level teams play USSSA for most local tournaments, I think. NSA here is basically rec also though. It is interesting how the different org's have different levels of presence in different parts of the country.

Mike - you're getting pretty good with this video stuff! Cassie is an impressive young lady with some serious skills!! My DD's have t lest 2 games today in HS regionals, they're going to have to bring their A game as a team if they want to move on to State. Good luck and have fun this weekend everyone!

DD first tournament is this weekend, it was supposed to have been a couple of weeks ago but she hurt her ankle so she was just able to be a cheerleader. She is also in her first middle school play tonight and tomorrow night, so only one pool game tomorrow. Hopefully they make a run on Sunday and she is able to get some good plate time in Sunday.

DD second attempt at her first tournament didn't work out either. She got a virus and battled a 103 degree fever all weekend missing both the tournament and play. The team is planning on playing one more tournament this fall, hopefully she is able to play in that one.
