Some unnamed site the parent asked if it was OK to text coach between games.

I just find this funny, how is this going to go well for you?

Last year at Nationals during the first elimination game I had a parent come to me in the middle of the inning while I was coaching 1st and complain her DD was on the bench for the 2nd time this weekend and that they are wasting their time and money (we were 30 minutes from there front door) and won't be back for the next game of the day and will let me know later if they will return the following day or not. Needless to say they didn't get an option and were told to depart immediately. So yeah a text in between games sounds way better to me.

Jeez. My daughter would be mortified if I ever pulled a stunt like that.

OH I thought this was a thread about texting college coaches. I was going to add you should call them too but in light of the subject...well calling your TB coach during a game might be kind of funny. Coaching 1st the phone rings and it's a parent saying they don't know if they will be there for the next game. LOL.

I absolutely would have done the same thing. Rule number 1 on my team is there will be no player or parent drama allowed of any kind and there is a zero tolerance policy in effect. The first time for either one, it's "don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!"

LOL! My DD is same way. She gets mad if I even get 2-3 feet near dugout! So now I am just satisfied with being team mom and I am pretty busy with that. No more running interference for my DD. ;)
I can't begin to count how many emails, text messages, and full conversations with coaches and/or other parents I've only had in my mind because dd would disown me for butting in. I write strongly worded emails - then I delete them or send to a private email I have as a diary for myself.

I'll just walk right up to the coach and give him a piece of my mind. Of course, he's my husband so he'll just have to take it. :p

When things get slow here at DFP, cut and paste those emails here!
