What do y'all use to keep the EZ-Up down on windy tourney days/weekends?

Stakes aren't always usable and can be a pain to pull out.

I've seen the PVC w/ sand or quickcrete, but bulky to travel with when the back of our SUV is already packed down with gear, EZ-Up, ice chest,...

I saw someone using kettle bells this weekend and that may be doable, but will end up costing as much as the EZ-Up...

Solutions? Ideas from the experienced?

Thanks.

I like to put 2 of the slotted weights on each pole and tie one of the ropes to something heavy. If she isn't there I tie to the fence, bleachers, tree, etc.

We actually started using screwdrivers instead of stakes lol. Harbor Freight has them dirt cheap if you have one around you....probably like a buck a piece. They still fit in the bag with the tent and are easier to pull out and harder to loose than stakes.

That's a really good idea, except that I can't get out of Harbor Freight without buying $200+ of stuff that I don't need just because it's a great deal.
