My daughter about 3 years ago lucked into a free Easton Stealth from my cousin. The bat was used by her daughters but they opted to play travel volleyball so we lucked into their equipment. The Stealth in our rec league was the chosen bat by the team girls and I let them use it because it was only rec.

Fast forward to the next fall and we decide to try select ball and notice the Stealth is just making a soft thud and not the normal crack. I figure it's about to go so I bought her a 2015 Mako and keep the Stealth as a back up for colder games. Well we played a scrimmage on a cold day and the Stealth was on fire but DD swore it was still dead. Like the Mako better.

A couple months back I lucked into a 2016 Torq relatively cheap so I bought it (I'm a bat junkie). She really loved it and let her school friends use the Stealth and the Mako became the backup. She was back to driving the ball just as deep and hard as the "dead" Stealth but hey it's new bat syndrome. I casually pushed the Stealth here and there but no luck.

Last Friday she asked if I cared if she went back to the Stealth. If I had hair it would be pulled out.

To be 13 again. :D

Here she is swinging the Torq in school ball. We start tournaments this weekend. WHo knows what she'll chose.

Am I the only person who looked at the picture and thought....someone needs to give the catcher a NECC video?

DD currently has 4 top end bats, probably a mistake. Given a handful of others away.

She does know it is her not the bat though, she just appease me.

DD can be nice sometimes.

She's normally not a catcher. But her school team consisted of 4 girls that had experience and 7 that had never played. She's usually a left fielder. I know it's not an excuse. Only a reason.

Yeah mine has been told over and over its the person not the tool. Deep down I know she knows but being 13 she likes to learn the hard way sometimes.

My DD swings a 31/21 CF* Slapper. It is smoking hot and she kills the ball with it. Last weekend at our tourney a local vendor was set up and DW found a 32/22 for $150 new. We snatched it up knowing she would grow into it before too long. Fast forward to practice last night and DD was off just a little and hit a few pop ups. She instantly told me she needed to start using the new one because it would help her swing. This from a kid that is hitting .692 through the first 2 TB tourneys playing up in 14U. I dont think the bat died in three days without being touched.
