So whats the plans this weekend?? We are just chlliaxin in the OC this weekend. Marathon and doing a friendlies this weekend for us.

DD had an interesting spring when her 14U TB team imploded for a variety of reasons (e.g. dysfunctional org., families not honoring their commitment to the team, stubborn head coach who didn't see the writing on the wall and wouldn't allow assistant coaches to help him coach, etc.).

DD will be trying out this weekend for a new 14U team as the HS girls come back to TB after being dark the past 3 months. Hopefully we get a good turnout (not the best time of year to form a new team).

Um a marathon doesn't sound very chillax to me. Good luck. More snow here in CO canceled one of the best tourneys of the year, a 3 pool plus double Looks like streaming some college games is the best I'll get in this weekend.

Bye Saturday in rec. 4th pitching lesson with Rich Balswick Saturday afternoon. All-Star tryouts Sunday.

Still a lot of flaws in her pitching to fix, but after 3 lessons with Rich her cruising speed has increased from 45 to 48.... and she hit 50 on two pitches! Wish I had listened to people's advice and started bringing her to Rich 11 months ago!

Here on Long Island...HS Game today at 4:30 and tomorrow at 12:00pm...Sunday catching a pitching lesson and sometime this weekend trying out a catcher for my 18U Travel Team

Weather cancelled the Knightsb dd vs Rhc dd matchup on the field, and the Knightsb vs Rhc matchup at the bar. Guess it's back to the training grounds for all of us.

Another CO family here...another cancelled tourney - our 3rd cancelled one this spring. The girls can't get into a groove because they never seem to be able to play. Bummer...

Besides building a boat?? Shrug. It is DH's birthday weekend so we will probably chill and eat and sleep while praying we don't float away. LOL.

Anyhow, HS ball is over; lost in tough playoff game last night to #4 team in Texas - scoreless through 5 innings and DD drove in the first run of the game in the bottom of 5th! Then she gave up first run (HR) in top of 7th inning (although she had a 3 up/3 down 6th inning)...batter was one of the top hitters in the metro Houston area and possibly the state...Baylor commit as pitcher and hitter. Other team had 7 of 9 D1 commits in their lineup so I am pretty proud of how well our team did (we only have one commit in lineup LOL). They gave mound back to first pitcher, and she gave up two more HRs. First pitcher did an outstanding job first 3 innings though. Just wasn't in the cards. DD so badly wanted to win the game with that 1-0 score (lost 2-4). She plans on finally having that talk with the coach about her pitch calling...just don't know how she's going to go about doing that diplomatically!! LOL!

DD has a game tomorrow at a park we've never been too. She isn't going to be happy when she finds out I started her on the bench. Though she remains in the 2 spot in the lineup. Then league is going a Family Fun Night with Pitch, Hit, and Run going on. Sunday will be interesting. We have her first hitting lesson then All-Star tryouts. The weather doesn't look promising for Sunday though. If that gets rained out I can work on projects around the house. Got to finish up trim on the stairs and continue working on the new coffee table.
