Fun things happen at the hotel

Witnessed a mom lose her mind on a hotel manager this weekend just because the manager asked all of the kids in the hotel to stop running around. Mom was pretty rude and belligerent, so the manager called the cops and the cops made the whole team leave the hotel.

It served for a good hour or so of entertainment while we wait for our 12:30am game.

While I am disgusted by such outbursts, I quite often tell myself that some people were put here for our amusement!

How on earth could a mom support kids racing around in a hotel? I often wonder, have the families never been in a hotel, before?

Glad the manager followed through and didn't let her get away with that. I'm afraid we might have joined that team for this season gonna be spending a lot of time at the outfield fence.

While swimming at a hotel my whole team was at a few years ago, one of my players thought it'd be funny to sneak up from behind me and jump into the pool over my head.... she missed, landing her butt right on the back of my head. My chin drove down into my chest. Loud chunch noises echoed in my head. Pain was so intense I literally thought I'd broken my neck. Fortunately I only slipped 3 discs.... Funny now, wasn't so much then.

I Have been noticing a pattern that when a big Fast pitch tourney is in town that mysteriously more often than not the pool is down for the weekend due to maintenance.

Over the years we have dealt with more than our fair share of overzealous "Barney Fife" security guards, but I will have to say that this is a first....a mom got the whole team kicked out of the hotel? I bet the other parents were PISSED!

How old was the team, out of curiosity? DD's first overnight travel tourney is this weekend (10U). Hoping no mugshots are involved.
