Does anyone have suggestions for high top cleats ? Or mid cut cleats ? metal or not
thank you
We've had a lot of success with mid-high Men's cleats. DD says they are a lot more comfortable and there is a better selection. Men's shoes run a bit wider but that is good if you need to squeeze in an ankle brace. DD uses Men's Under Armour Spine Highlight Mid Metal Cleats. They "form" around your ankles and are very snug and a pain to put on the first time but loosen up a bit. The only problem will be if your daughter has small feet because some of the better cleats don't come in the smaller sizes.

DD loved the Ringor hi-tops with the pitching toe...would've been a customer for life...but they stopped making them.

Wearing Boombah men's hi-tops now...no built-in pitching toe :( - but they seem to be working just fine.

My daughter wore the Mizuno Franchise 7 Mid molded baseball cleats last year and loved them. She had a second pair of another brand that were worn maybe twice. She'll go with another pair of these again this year I'm sure. It is a boys/ men's shoe but you can't tell by looking at it.

One of DD's friends wears those and loves them. That girl has huge feet LOL.

Is your DD interested or is this your idea? If it is the latter would like to know when and where you plan to make the suggestion so I can grab a bucket and some popcorn. :)

No reason in softball for protection to keep ankles from turning, assuming proper field conditions.

I find that statement very interesting. So you are stating that on a "properly prepared field" there is no chance of turning an ankle?

My daughter needs to wear a brace, coupled with strength training and hightops due to growth and tendon issues.
