We are looking for a new canopy. The last one we had was caught in a gust of wind and landed on the other side of the fence. Two of the legs were through the fence to stop it from flying away but the legs stayed in the fence as the rest flew over the fence..... This was a 10 x 10 rather inexpensive canopy .

Don't cheap out if you want to bring a canopy.

This thing is a beast and borders on a bit big, but the slant legs and the heavier material (i.e. STEEL frame) means it doesn't go anywhere when the winds pick up even if your tie down skills are not great.

Mine is now 4 years old and looks like I bought it yesterday. I think the year before I went through 3 or 4 cheap ones.

Back on the dirt...
I have this one now. Z-Shade Recreational Shade (10' x 10') - Sam's Club

10x10 $89 on sale locally. I have one (different brand, commercial grade) that I paid $200 for 5 years ago but have had to replace 2 cross bars at $45 each. Figure for the price I can just replace the whole thing when it breaks. They do have a commercial grade for $200 in this brand but I'm not familiar with it.

The thing I look for is straight legs vs angle legs. Angle legs have less top (shade) and take up more space on the ground. Also, the bigger the canopy the more it weighs, which matters if you have to drag it a long way. Good luck!

I bought the on sale Quest from Dick's for 49 dollars 3.5 years ago. The bag is barely holding the canopy and the canopy itself if a bit thread bare in the corners but using a little preventive action has kept it alive when many others have failed in less time. Stakes are your friend no matter what you spend for them.

Had good luck with Quik-Shade and EZ-Up. I agree about the slanted legs in theory, but the ones I've seen where the legs meet the canopy square have been much better built.

A friend bought a Caravan 12x12 this season. It's pretty well built and it weathered the season well, but the bag is trash already.

Probably the best value I've owned was the $70 "10x10" Quik-Shade that's actually 8x8 because of the slanted legs. Lasted 2.5 seasons and the bag was still usable when it went South.

We got ours from Sports Chalet. It is really nice because the top is vented which helps on the breezy days that we often have here. It is strong and sturdy.

Right Here For Now
We had an E-Z UP 10x10 for the last four years. It finally gave up the ghost towards the end of the last season. I can tell you that it was well constructed with quality materials and the only reason that we ended up getting rid of it was that the push buttons on the legs that hold the tent at a certain height broke on 2 out of the 4 legs. I would gladly spend the money again on the same thing but there is no need since the organization has bought each team their own pair of pop-ups.

Best canopy for the money is a 12x12 coleman straight leg. We have gotten compliments everything we put ours up.
