The last game DD played was in early August at NE's Finest. Tonight her team opens the fall season with a coupe of games and 2 more in the AM before we head out to Bucknell to a clinic and check out the college.

DD has been on a strength and conditioning regime and it is starting to show in her throws from OF and behind the plate. Should be about 65 for game time and I'm pumped. Ask me if I'm still pumped the first weekend in Nov when she's playing her last tourney and I've shelled out for airlines, rental car and hotels.

It is fun to get back into it after a break. DD's fall season began last Sunday. She hadn't touched a bat, ball or glove since August second. I hope your DD has more success in her return than mine did in hers. She ended the four game day with two doubles, but prior to that she grounded out to shortstop 87 consecutive at bats. At least it felt like 87 times in a row although I do concede that it would be tough to get that many at bats in four games.

Best of luck at the clinic as well!!

I almost stated a similar thread about how hard today is at work just watching the clock drain with a doubleheader tomorrow and a three game friendly on Sunday to look forward to. After the August lull it is nice to have games again.

Hope she kills it in her return. <begin_brag>Mine ended her first games last weekend with a .666 BA/.750 OBP/with a double and an RBI in 4 PAs. She also pitched two stellar innings, one not so stellar inning and made a great out on defense. All against girls in HS or going into HS next year (she's 12)...<end_brag>I of course told her that she did well, but somewhere there is a girl in Minnesota who threw three shutout innings and batted 1.000.

First games of the season Sunday (weather pending).

Going to be interesting.. Couple of infield positions still up for grabs and our RF has been pushing hard in practice for the CF's job.

DDs team went 2-0. DD seemed a little jittery the first game but did hit a 2 run RBI dbl in the second game.

It was actually pretty cool by the time we left at 10 this evening.
