So i ran out and bought a #42 12x14x70 net for my dd, only now i cant find the pipes 14' in length to go across!

Does anyone have any ideas what i can do to make a cage for this net??? I've seen some of your setups by searching the site and they are pretty fantastic - i'd prefer to have a rectangular cage frame and not one with angles

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Buy a frame kit. Building one out of lumber is okay but will weather and warp much worse than a steel tubing frame. The kit should include everything needed except concrete for the corner posts. Cables, turnbuckles, hardware, d clips etc.... to buy it all indavidually will cost you much more in the long run.
Im guessing your 14' wide and 12' tall?

I built my cage using standard link fence posts, which are 10 foot. I would guess my actual net is 12x12 (we had the net hanging inside long before we decided to move it outside), so by having a 10x10 frame there's some slack around the top and bottom I just deal with (clip it at top, gather it at bottom). The great thing about standard fence posts like that is they are CHEAP. As are the corner brackets. Buying or having custom-sized steel pipes cut is much more expensive.

Lowe's sells them, you can order them online. I picked them up at the store,
it took 10-12 days to get them. I believe they have an option to ship to your house,
but I'm not positive.

If you don't have the connection pieces, I can get you a link to some pretty good ones.

Good luck. You will be very happy with the #42 net, I just upgraded this year,
and it's almost overkill..

I'm sorry Fillies, the ones I'm talking about are 21' long. I think you have to buy 10' or 21' lengths
if they are the fence post top rails (1-3/8), or what rdbass said for the 3/4 pipe.

Go to a fence company get used top rails. I believe they come 21ft. They will cut them to the length you want.
