Find the entries by dbag454 (33706, 33770 and 33780) and follow the threads. They are interesting, and I guess some valid points are being made, but this seems a bit obsessive and childish. Are these wars common? Ayone with interesting stories about these sorts of goings on? Apologies to dbag454 if he or she posts here.

    That is pretty tame, actually.

We had an informative site going since at least 1999 called eTeamz. It seemed to attract every weirdo that had Internet access. It wasn't monitored, so "adults" went crazy with insults and posting pictures and trying to find out who someone was. They would actually follow a person and print out copies of their posts and then, post them years later.

In one instance, a guy contacted someone's employer and told them that this certain man was on the site all of the time, while he was at work. The man almost lost his job. There were threats made to one of the daughters, etc.

The site imploded and took all of the archives with it, and DiscussFastpitch and Heybucket, were born.

I need a new Login ID since I have recommended this site to a bunch of people, need to figure out how to delete all my old posts. For the record DD’s current HC is the best coach she has ever had, someone stole my account password if anyone sees anything differently.

I consistently misspell it "Hatebucket" can never figure out why. ;-)

I was in stitches reading some of that stuff. Reminds me of our area. We had a TB team that disbanded just as the Rec. Season started because 3-4 of the girls bolted for better teams. Those girls ended up playing Rec. Ball as well, and all of them made the All-Star team. You should have seen the drama when kids didn't make the All-Star team that would have if those girls wouldn't have been playing. Fist fights ya'll. Fist fights. BTW, said All-Star team has won EVERY TOURNAMENT they've played in. 2 girls hitting balls over the fence (age appropriate short porches, but still). It's craziness. Oh, and it's 8u. Classic.

Since I'm in AL I've been seeing his rants since they started & personally I wish he would just stop posting and disappear.

Actually, the NJ.com Youth Softball Forum is MUCH worse and MUCH more entertaining, especially when a parent posts a question like "Rank the Top 12U teams in NJ".

NJ.com is the best - for entertainment value. Every once in a while you even can have a resonable adult discussion.

This is what I dont want to be, That Guy. Some people take this way seriously. I have parents tell me all the time their kid is gonna get college scholarship money by playing softball. They are ten pal! I practice with my daughter frequently, more so than any other parent going by what the other kids on the team say. I just want her to develop her talents as far as possible. If she doesnt want to play in the future, fine. I would rather fish anyway. But I dont skip out on my kids. I found this website while looking for the best bat to get her. I have already learned a ton about coaching her to improve her hitting. I dont know who started this site but thanks a bunch.

    3'sDad, thats a beautiful avatar
