11/04 TUESDAY ELECTION DAY 2014 SOFTBALL CATCHER CAMP at DOPSONS INDOOR FACILITY
Parents, Coaches and Catchers:
Schools may be closed but we are open... for training... of catchers... this year... SOFTBALL CATCHER CAMP...Four Levels; from Beginners -to- Seniors from 9am to 4pm.
Catchers group training sessions that focus on the four different catcher's skills and drills for receiving, blocking, throwing, and fielding the ball... in Odenton, MD at JOHN DOPSON's indoor facility.
“One area that receives little attention from coaches is teaching proper catching techniques. In general, there is not enough practice time devoted to it and the result is a lack of quality catchers at all levels. The reasons for this can be attributed to a number of things, but mainly, the blame falls on coaches for not setting aside practice time and a coach's lack of catching knowledge.” (see Baseball Catchers Guide)
