Scott passed away the week before Thanksgiving. He was a great coach, friend, and mentor to many in the softball community.
A memorial has been scheduled, details quoted below were posted by his daughter Kelly Welch, on his Facebook page. Any updates would presumably be posted there as well.

We are so grateful for the large amount of people who want to remember our dad Scott Sarginson. The memorial service will be on Saturday December 10th at 10 a.m. at Hillside Covenant Church in Walnut Creek. There will be a reception immediately following at the same location. Please contact one of the kids if you have any questions.

I can't believe this. Scott or SSarge as he was called on the various websites was one of the nicest people I have ever known. I am in absolute shock. Long ago, I shared video of my daughter Brianna with Scott. He, and others, were so helpful in their observations. He has helped so many others and following his daughter's career was so much fun. The softball world has lost an ambassador that showed kindness, thoughtfulness and humility for all to model.
